NextScale is an independent advisory practice. It provides strategic, product, go-to-market, and technical advisory services to companies, and independent technical assessment and research services to institutions.
NextScale is not a broker-dealer, an investment adviser, an investment bank, a placement agent, or a finder. It does not offer, solicit, place, or sell securities; it does not raise capital on behalf of companies; and it does not receive compensation for introducing investors to companies or companies to investors.
Advisory work relating to capital concerns strategy — how much a company should raise, on what timeline, from what kind of investor, and how a round might be structured. It does not extend to identifying, approaching, or negotiating with investors on a company's behalf.
NextScale is compensated through monthly retainers, fixed-scope project fees, hourly fees, or advisory equity vesting over time. No fee charged by NextScale is contingent on a financing closing, a transaction completing, an investment being made, or an assessment reaching a particular conclusion.
Where NextScale provides an assessment of a company to an institution, NextScale is paid by the institution requesting the assessment and not by the company being assessed.
